Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus has been reportedly cancelled, Mi Note 3 coming instead

xiaomi Mi 6 after a long wait was launched in China on April 19. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer was also expected to announce Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus alongside, but didn’t. However, several speculations surfacing the web suggested that the company is expected to launch the Mi 6 Plus in the coming two months. But, looks like this is again a false news as a report coming from China reveals that Xiaomi might scrap Mi 6 Plus completely.
That being said, Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will not be launched at all. The news was first spotted on a China social media and reported by Gizmochina further states that Xiaomi Mi 6 will be the only smartphone under the Mi-6 series for now. Adding on, the report further reveals that the smartphone maker might continue with the line-up in 2018.
It is a known fact that the news disappoints several Xiaomi fans who have been eagerly waiting for the Mi 6 Plus launch. Previously leaked rumours suggested Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus launch for the third quarter of 2017, which is sometime around September. So, instead of unveiling Mi 6 Plus, Xiaomi is said to instead announce Mi Note 3.
Xiaomi has been working on Mi Note 3, which is said to be the successor of the Mi Note 2 for over quite a long period of time. So, just in case you were waiting for the device, make a note as reports claim that Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be launched in September. However, note that Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed anything on the Mi Note 3 launch, and neither have they confirmed on the Mi 6 Plus’ scrapping.Furthermore, Xiaomi is also working on Mi Mix 2, which the company is expected to launch by the end of Q4 2017. India Today Tech has earlier reported that Xiaomi not bringing its latest flagship – Mi 6 to India, as the company plans to announce some other “high-end” phone. As of now, we aren’t sure on the company’s plan for the Indian market, and the question – If not Mi 6, then what? remain unanswered as of now.
